Under 11's vs Reddish North End

This was a tough game for our girls I've come across Reddish in the past they are very quick at passing the ball and on you the moment you get the ball i don't think the girls have come across this team before so i tried to explain to them to pass and move the ball quick and we could not just run though them we have to find a way to play though them.
Team line up no Lilly this week so Olivia has been doing some keeper training for us and went in goal for the first half made some good saves with her feet i just had to remind her she can use her hands, Megan at left back and had an outstanding game Vicky the ref said to me after the game it was the best she has seen her play, Grace at right back and again was outstanding the pressure she put on the runners she was strong and kept on battling, Mia played in centre mid and worked really hard covered a lot of ground pushing forward and tracking back, Holly on left wing and don't think i would change her position she makes such a big impact there it would be mad to move her unless we have a big advantage just like Carra on the right wing who also makes a big impact in her position, Amileia and Scarlett up front Amelia holds her position really well and Scarlett came back to help out Mia in midfield.
Reddish got the first goal within the first five minuets of the game which got the girls moving Reddish was playing a bit too nippy going for the anckels of our players and a bit of shirt pulling but the girls stayed strong and fought back forcing them to play the ball to our advantage.
Then again five minuets into the game Reddish got the second still a lot of shirt pulling were the ref had to speak to the players we had a few free kicks but nothing came from them seven minuets after Reddish scored Holly came up trumps for us and got us a goal, five minuets left of the game trying to incur age the girls to push forward to see if we can equalise we had a few attempts but gone wide you could see the frustration now in the girls faces to get the equaliser but the whistle went to end the game such a tough game but the girls work ethic was outstanding could not fault them at all all the girls worked hard.
player of the match went to Megan from the ref but i also thought grace as well deserved it so i gave it to her as well both defenders worked so well together well done girls you were unlucky not to get the draw.
