Tameside United Ladies ran out 3-2 Winners in their pre-season game vs a Select China Coaching 11.
As part of the Manchester FA's International Coaching programme, Tameside United Ladies were invited to take part in a pre-season friendly against some of the coaches who had travelled across from China. With over 60 Coaches in attendance, plus the players on the pitch, it made for a great atmosphere.
Lucy Howarth scored two goals in the first half to give the ladies a 2-1 half time break before the China Team managed to draw level.
The game was settled by 16 year old Striker Olivia Parker-Williams on her first start for the Ladies, following 6 players being called up from the clubs Under 18s team.
The match was played in great spirits and was an opportunity for the Ladies to build their fitness ahead of their opening fixture against Fleetwood Town on the 1st of September.
